2003 CNNP Xiao Lv Yin (Small Green Mark) Ripe Pu-erh Cake 357g – Bulang Mountain
Over two decades of clean, dry storage. A rare vintage ripe Pu-erh that delivers on every level.
Produced in 2003 by CNNP (Zhongcha / 中茶), the Xiao Lv Yin (小绳印 — Small Green Mark) is a celebrated classic from one of China’s most storied state tea enterprises — and one of the earliest iconic Yin Ji (印级, Seal Grade) teas in the CNNP lineage. This cake originates from the prized Bulang Mountain (班章山) growing area, renowned for producing teas of exceptional depth and character.
With over 20 years of aging under clean, dry storage conditions, this ripe Pu-erh has developed a rich, polished complexity that only time can create. When you drink it, you notice more than just the sweetness and silkiness that aged tea brings — there is a real inner richness and backbone to the liquor, a sense of substance and structure that speaks to the quality of the raw material.
For collectors and seasoned drinkers alike, this CNNP Green Mark Ripe Pu-erh holds excellent aging potential and is well worth cellaring further.

Brewing Recommendation
Best brewed in a Yixing Zisha teapot to fully express the aged character of this tea.
1. Warm your Zisha teapot with hot water, then discard
2. Add 7g of tea (gently pry from the cake along the edges using a tea pick)
3. Rinse (Wake the Tea): Pour boiling water (100°C / 212°F) over the leaves and discard immediately — this first rinse awakens the tea and releases its intoxicating aged aroma
4. Brew: Pour boiling water and steep for 5–10 seconds for the first few infusions
5. Pour into your cup and enjoy
6. Gradually increase steeping time with each infusion — the flavour evolves beautifully, with chen xiang (aged aroma) and sticky rice notes building layer by layer
This tea rewards patience. Take your time between infusions and appreciate the progressive complexity it offers.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Suitable for continued long-term aging.
