2016 Longrun Hundred Surnames Ripe Pu-erh Tea – 「Qian (錢)」 Edition 250g
2016 Longrun Hundred Surnames Ripe Pu-erh Tea – 「Qian (錢)」 Edition 250g
One surname, one tea. A tribute to heritage, prosperity, and the art of aged Pu-erh.
Crafted in 2016 by Longrun Tea Group in collaboration with the Lu Yu Tea Exchange, the Hundred Surnames Pu-erh Series is a landmark collection inspired by the ancient Song Dynasty classic Bai Jia Xing (百家姓). Each tea is custom-made for one of China’s great family names — a meaningful gift that connects drinkers to their roots.
This edition is dedicated to the Qian (錢) surname, historically associated with the stewardship of wealth and prosperity. More than a tea, it is a collectible piece of cultural heritage — drinkable today, and increasingly valuable with age.
Tasting Notes
The raw material features beautifully formed, plump tea buds — a mark of exceptional quality. The brew is remarkably sweet and smooth on the palate, with a rich, full-bodied glutinous rice aroma (nuo xiang, 糯香) that lingers warmly from cup to cup.

Brewing Guidance
Brewing Guidance
Traditional Gongfu Brewing Method
1. Prepare your teaware (teapot or gaiwan recommended)
2. Use a tea pick to gently pry 3–6g of Pu-erh from the cake along the edges
3. Warm your teaware by rinsing with hot water, then discard
4. Place the tea leaves into the teapot or gaiwan
5. Rinse (Wake the Tea): Pour boiling water over the leaves and immediately discard — this awakens the tea and removes any surface dust
6. Brew: Pour boiling water (100°C / 212°F) over the leaves
7. Steep for 5–10 seconds, then pour into your cup and enjoy
Gradually increase steeping time with each subsequent infusion
Easy Brew Method (Infuser Cup)
