Cha Yuan Ji Liu Bao Mini Gold Brick 2015 | Aged 10+ Years | Rich, Silky & Deeply Mellow

A Decade of Patience in Every Brick — 2015 Liu Bao Mini Gold Brick

Some teas are made quickly. This one was made by time. The 2015 Liu Bao Mini Gold Brick from Cha Yuan Ji is a traditionally fermented, dry-warehouse aged Liu Bao from the core production zone of Wuzhou, Guangxi — over ten years in the making, pressed into a compact mini brick, sealed in individual gold foil, and ready to deliver everything that great aged Liu Bao promises: deep woody aged fragrance, warm medicinal depth, and a slow, lasting sweetness that only a decade of patient aging can produce. This is old Liu Bao in its most traditional, most authentic expression.

The Classic Aged Liu Bao Character

The dry fragrance is immediately distinctive and unmistakably traditional: settled woody aged notes, a warm medicinal depth that speaks of years of transformation, and a quiet grain sweetness underneath. This is the flavor profile that defines great old Liu Bao — rich, complex, and deeply comforting. Not light, not fruity. Thick, aged, and full of history.

Craftsmanship & Appearance

Each mini brick is compact and precisely pressed — the leaves tightly bound, glossy, and threaded with visible golden tips. Individual gold foil packaging keeps each brick fresh, moisture-protected, and perfectly portioned for a single session — elegant, practical, and ready to go wherever you go.

In the Cup

The liquor is a deep, luminous ruby-red — rich and transparent, with a viscosity that is visible as it pours. On the palate, it is smooth and enveloping: mellow, full-bodied, and completely free of bitterness or astringency. The aged character is present but refined — woody depth and a warm medicinal note that speaks of years of dry-warehouse storage, clean and complex without any mustiness. The sweetness is slow and internal, building gently and staying long after the cup is empty.

The Long Steep Reward

Brew it long — in a thermos or slow-simmered — and the 2015 Mini Gold Brick reveals another dimension: a thick, glutinous red bean soup sweetness that emerges from the depth of the aged leaves, coating the mouth in warmth and satisfaction. This is a tea that gives more the longer you give it time.

Perfect for Office & Travel

Each brick is individually gold foil sealed — compact, moisture-proof, and precisely portioned at 5g. Toss one in your bag, your desk drawer, or your travel kit. Drop it in a thermos with boiling water before you leave, and by the time you arrive, a rich, warming aged Liu Bao is waiting for you. No measuring, no fuss. Just great tea, anywhere.

Product Description

The 2015 Liu Bao Mini Gold Brick is a product of time, craft, and the unique terroir of Wuzhou, Guangxi — the historic heartland of Liu Bao production. The raw material is sourced from the core production zone, traditionally wet-pile fermented, and then stored for over a decade in dry-warehouse conditions that allow the tea to age cleanly and deeply, without any of the mustiness or off-notes associated with humid storage.

The result is a Liu Bao of genuine aged character: settled woody depth, a warm medicinal complexity, and a quiet grain sweetness that speaks of years of patient transformation. The leaves are tightly pressed into compact mini bricks, glossy and oil-rich, with golden tips visible throughout — a sign of quality raw material. Each brick is individually sealed in gold foil to preserve freshness and make portioning effortless.

In the cup, the liquor is a deep, luminous ruby-red — thick, smooth, and enveloping. The aged character is refined and clean: woody depth and medicinal warmth without any harshness or mustiness. The sweetness is slow and internal, building through the session and lingering long after the last sip. Brew it long in a thermos or simmer it gently, and a glutinous red bean soup sweetness emerges from the depth of the aged leaves — the quiet reward of a decade well spent.
