Da Mi Tao Rougui — Award-Winning Bi Shi Yan Zheng Yan | #1 Must-Drink Rougui of the Year
Da Mi Tao Rougui — Award-Winning Bi Shi Yan Zheng Yan | #1 Must-Drink Rougui of the Year
🏆 Award-Winning. Explosively Peach. Unmissable. — Da Mi Tao Rougui
There are Rougui teas with a hint of peach. And then there is Da Mi Tao — the Big Honey Peach Rougui — where the peach is not a hint. It is the entire statement. Grown on the sun-facing zheng yan (正岩) slopes of Bi Shi Yan, harvested from the first spring flush of tender young leaves, and crafted through traditional charcoal roasting at light-to-medium fire — this award-winning Rougui delivers a honey peach fragrance so vivid, so immediate, and so unmistakably natural that it stops you in your tracks. This is the Rougui that earns its place at the top of every must-drink list.
Why the Peach Is This Extraordinary
Great peach aroma in Rougui does not happen by accident. It requires the right mountain, the right weather, and the right craft — all three, at the same time. Bi Shi Yan’s sun-facing zheng yan terrain produces leaves with exceptional internal richness. The first spring flush brings the freshest, most vibrant raw material of the year. And the light-to-medium charcoal roast preserves every nuance of that natural peach character while allowing the fragrance to sink fully into the liquor. The result is a peach aroma of rare intensity and clarity — high-pitched, instantly recognizable, and completely natural. In the world of Rougui, this level of peach expression is genuinely scarce.
Fragrance That Defines the Category
The honey peach aroma is the star — bold, soaring, and unmistakable from the first lift of the lid. The cinnamon-bark character plays a supporting role: present as a soft, warm base note that adds depth and structure without competing with the peach. No harsh fire notes. No roughness. Just pure, explosive fruit fragrance that fills the room and stays in the cup.
Thick, Sweet & Fragrance-in-the-Liquor
The liquor is rich and full-bodied — thick on the palate, with a sweetness that is prominent and immediate. True to the character of light-to-medium roast rock oolong, the fragrance does not float above the tea — it dissolves into the liquor itself, so every sip is as aromatic as it is sweet. This is what “xiang rong yu shui” (香溶于水) — fragrance dissolved in water — truly means.
First Spring Flush. Exceptional Brew Resistance.
Harvested from the first spring flush of tender young leaves, the raw material is at its freshest and most vibrant. The leaves are full of life, and they hold up beautifully across infusion after infusion — delivering consistent peach sweetness and thick liquor from the first steep to the last. Exceptional brew resistance is one of Da Mi Tao’s most celebrated qualities.

Product Description
Product Description
Da Mi Tao (大蜜桃) — the Big Honey Peach Rougui — is the product of three things coming together perfectly: the right mountain, the right weather, and the right craft.
The mountain is Bi Shi Yan — a sun-facing zheng yan (正岩) site whose direct sunlight and mineral-rich rock soil produce tea leaves with exceptional internal richness and aromatic potential. The timing is the first spring flush — the most tender, most vibrant, most fragrant harvest of the year. And the craft is traditional charcoal roasting at light-to-medium fire — precise and patient, preserving every nuance of the natural peach character while allowing the fragrance to dissolve fully into the liquor.
The result is a honey peach aroma of rare intensity: high-pitched, soaring, and instantly recognizable from the first lift of the lid. The cinnamon-bark character of Rougui is present as a soft, warm base note — adding depth and structure without ever competing with the peach. In the cup, the liquor is thick and prominently sweet, with the fragrance woven into the body of the tea rather than floating above it. This is xiang rong yu shui (香溶于水) — fragrance dissolved in water — at its finest.
The brew resistance is exceptional. The first spring flush leaves are full of life, delivering consistent peach sweetness and full body from the first steep to the last.
In the Rougui world, peach expression at this level of intensity and clarity is genuinely scarce. When it appears, it is worth paying attention to. Da Mi Tao is that tea.

Brewing Guidance
Brewing Guidance
Vessel: Gaiwan (strongly recommended — to fully experience the explosive peach lid aroma)
Water Temperature: 95–100°C (203–212°F)
Leaf Amount: 8.3g per 100–150ml
Steeping Guide:
• Infusions 1–3: Pour and drain immediately — flash-brew to capture the explosive honey peach lid aroma at its most vivid. Do not steep or stew.
• Infusions 4 and beyond: Gradually increase steeping time by 5–10 seconds with each steep.
⚠️ Important: Never cover and steep (no stewing). Da Mi Tao’s light-to-medium roast character is delicate — over-steeping will dull the peach aroma and flatten the sweetness.
Number of Infusions: 10–12+ infusions (exceptional brew resistance)
Tips:
• Lift the lid slowly after each pour — the honey peach aroma that greets you is one of the great pleasures of this tea
• Use near-boiling water to fully activate the peach and cinnamon aromas
• This tea is best appreciated in a focused session — the peach character evolves beautifully across many steeps
