Fen Xishi (Pink Lady) Dancong – Complex & Alluring
Fen Xishi (Pink Lady) Dancong – Complex & Alluring
Fen Xishi ("Pink Lady") is a rare and lesser-known variety of Phoenix Dancong. It greets you with an explosive and complex aroma that is far from simple.
The charm of this tea is its multi-layered profile. The fragrance doesn't just stay in the air; it fully infuses into the tea soup. You'll discover a symphony of floral and fruity notes, backed by a deep, woody richness from old tea trees.
Its unique character includes a subtle mossy note, distinct from Rock Tea. This evolves into a surprising hint of cosmetic powder fragrance, which then gracefully gives way to a dominant, beautiful floral bouquet.
A Truly Layered Experience:
-
Infused Aroma: The fragrance is carried in the water.
-
Complex Profile: Flowers, fruit, deep wood, and unique cosmetic-powder notes.
-
Old Tree Richness: A robust, woody base from aged tea trees.

How to brew it
Brewing Guide to Reveal the Layers
To fully appreciate its complexity, we recommend Gongfu brewing.
Teaware: Gaiwan or small pot (150-200ml)
Water: 95-100°C (203-212°F)
Amount: 3-5 grams of leaves
Rinse: Quickly rinse and discard the water to awaken the leaves.
First Infusions: Start with 10-15 seconds.
Later Infusions: Increase time by 5-10 seconds for each subsequent brew. Enjoy how the aroma and taste evolve from infusion to infusion (8+ times possible).
Quick Method: For a cup, use 1 tsp with 95°C water and steep for 3-4 minutes.
