Hidden along the stream edges of a high-altitude Banyan rock site (半岩山场) near Yanzi Ke (燕子窠), Wuyi Mountain, this Old Bush Shuixian (老柞水仙) has grown undisturbed for decades — its roots reaching into the cold, clear water of mountain springs, its branches draped in moss, its leaves absorbing decades of mist and mineral from the valley air.

The Aroma

Old bush character — cong yun (柞韵) — is something only age can give. You cannot grow it into a young tree. It either exists or it doesn't.

Gu Cong Ting Quan (古柞听泉) — "Ancient Bush Listening to the Spring" — is an old bush Shuixian oolong grown at a high-altitude banyan rock site near Yanzi Ke (燕子窠), Wuyi Mountain. The trees have grown for decades beside cold mountain spring streams, their roots drawing from clear, mineral-rich water, their branches slowly accumulating the moss and character that define true old bush cong yun (柞韵).

Cong yun is not something that can be cultivated quickly. It is a depth of character that only comes with age — a woody, mossy, almost ancient quality that settles in the throat long after the cup is finished. In this tea, that cong yun interweaves with a natural orchid fragrance to create a layered, evolving drinking experience: each infusion reveals something slightly different, moving from bright floral to deeper wood and spring-water clarity.

Brewing Guidance
