The fire-cloud firing process introduces controlled flame variation during the kiln process, producing a surface of warm amber, honey gold, and deep ochre — each piece emerging uniquely marked by fire. No two are identical. This is not mass production. This is craft at its most alive.

The set includes a 130ml master cup (主人杯) — sized and shaped for the host, to be held close while guests are served. Together, pot and cup form a complete, cohesive tea practice.

About Golden Duanni — Fire-Cloud Fired

Golden Duanni (黄金段泥) is a warm, mineral-rich variant of Duanni clay with a naturally golden base tone. When fired using the Huoyun (fire-cloud) technique — where flame and atmosphere are deliberately varied in the kiln — the surface develops dramatic tonal shifts: amber bleeding into gold, gold deepening into ochre, with subtle blush tones where the flame kissed the clay most directly.

The result is a surface that looks like a landscape at dusk — and seasons even more beautifully with use.
