Hua Zhang Liu Bao Tea — Honey Peach Sweet | Light, Fresh & Naturally Fruity Dark Tea
Liu Bao, Reimagined — Hua Zhang Honey Peach Sweet
This is not your grandmother’s Liu Bao. Hua Zhang Honey Peach Sweet is a Grade 1 Liu Bao from Wuzhou, Guangxi — dual-warehouse aged, zero warehouse off-notes — that has been transformed by fermentation and time into something unexpectedly bright and fresh: a clean, natural ripe peach sweetness that arrives without any heaviness, mustiness, or the thick, brooding character that puts newcomers off dark tea. Light, clear, and genuinely delightful.
The Dry Leaf
Dark brown twisted leaves with a subtle honey fragrance. Open the tin and a lively, natural fruit aroma greets you immediately — not artificial, not added. This is the real honey-peach character that emerges from careful fermentation and dual-warehouse aging, alive and expressive from the very first sniff.
In the Cup
The liquor is a clear, luminous amber-red — transparent and glossy, with a warmth that catches the light beautifully. On the palate, it is soft and clean: the honey peach sweetness arrives first, bright and refreshing, with a gentle aged base note underneath that adds depth without weight. Almost no bitterness or astringency. A light, natural salivation follows. This is a Liu Bao that feels effortless to drink.
How It Feels
Light-bodied and silky — nothing heavy, nothing stuffy. The texture is smooth and flowing, with none of the thick, dense quality of traditional aged dark tea. Served cold or at room temperature, the honey peach character becomes even more vivid and refreshing. A Liu Bao that surprises you — and keeps you coming back.

Product Description
Product Description
Hua Zhang Honey Peach Sweet is a Grade 1 Liu Bao sourced from Wuzhou, Guangxi — the historic heartland of Liu Bao production. The leaves have been carefully fermented and dual-warehouse aged (both northern and southern storage environments) to develop a character that is clean, balanced, and completely free of the musty warehouse notes that can put newcomers off aged dark tea.
What makes this tea remarkable is what fermentation and time have created: a natural, vivid honey-peach sweetness that is entirely the product of the tea itself — no added flavoring, no blending tricks. Open the tin and the fruit aroma is immediate and lively. In the cup, the liquor is a clear, luminous amber-red, soft and clean on the palate, with the peach sweetness arriving first and a gentle aged base note adding quiet depth underneath.
The body is light and silky — a deliberate departure from the thick, brooding character of traditional aged Liu Bao. This is a tea designed to be easy, refreshing, and genuinely enjoyable — especially for those who are new to dark tea, or who simply prefer something lighter and more fruit-forward in their cup.

Brewing Guidance
Brewing Guidance
Vessel: Gaiwan (110ml recommended)
Water Temperature: 100°C (212°F) — fully boiling water
Leaf Amount: 5g
Steeping Guide:
• Infusions 1–3: 5–8 seconds — pour and drain quickly to capture the bright honey peach aroma at its freshest
• Infusions 4 and beyond: Gradually increase steeping time as needed
⚠️ Important: Do not steep for more than 40 minutes in total. Extended contact with water will cause the honey peach fragrance to fade and the liquor to become heavier than intended.
Alternative Brewing Methods:
• Cold Brew: Steep 5g in 500ml cold water for 6–8 hours in the refrigerator — the honey peach character becomes even more vivid and refreshing when cold
• Thermos / Travel Mug: A short steep of 3–5 minutes works well — avoid leaving leaves in prolonged contact with water to protect the fruit aroma
