Huangjingui Golden Osmanthus Oolong | Anxi's Earliest Harvest | Floral Aroma & Golden Liquor
Huangjingui Golden Osmanthus Oolong | Anxi's Earliest Harvest | Floral Aroma & Golden Liquor
Huangjingui — The "Transparent Heaven Fragrance" of Anxi
Among all oolong cultivars, Huangjingui (黄金桂) holds a singular distinction: it is the earliest budding variety in production, earning it the beloved local names "Qingming Tea" (清明茶) — the tea of early spring — and "Transparent Heaven Fragrance" (透天香), a name that says everything about what awaits in the cup.
Its golden liquor, osmanthus-like fragrance, and bright, clean sweetness make Huangjingui one of the most distinctive and immediately recognizable oolongs in China. One steep, and the aroma fills the room.
Origin
Originally cultivated in Meizhuang Village, Huqiu Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province — the birthplace of this extraordinary cultivar. Today, the finest Huangjingui continues to come from Huqiu's Luoyan area and surrounding townships including Daping, Jiugu, and Jiandou, where the terroir perfectly expresses the variety's signature floral character.
