Liufang Jinglan Yixing Teapot — Handcrafted Ancient Wuni Clay, 280ml
Liufang Jinglan Yixing Teapot — Handcrafted Ancient Wuni Clay, 280ml
Liufang Jinglan — The Six-Sided Well Pavilion
In classical Chinese architecture, the well pavilion (jing lan) was a place of gathering — where neighbors met, where water was drawn, where daily life paused for a moment of connection. The Liufang Jinglan teapot carries that same spirit: a six-sided form that invites you to slow down, pour deliberately, and share something worth sharing.
Handcrafted from rare Ancient Wuni clay (原矿古乌泥), each of the six facets is cut and joined with precision — a technically demanding construction that separates master craftspeople from the rest. The result is a pot that is architecturally striking yet deeply functional, with a 7-hole mesh spout that pours with control and clarity.
About Ancient Wuni Clay
Wuni (乌泥, "dark clay") is one of Yixing’s most revered raw materials. Dense and mineral-rich, it fires to a deep charcoal tone with a surface that is almost velvety when new. With seasoning, it develops a dark, living luster — absorbing the memory of every tea brewed within it.
Its excellent heat retention makes it particularly well-suited to teas that need time: aged pu-erh, roasted oolong, and dark teas that open slowly and reward patience.
