Mi Tuo Yan Rougui | Wuyi Zheng Yan Rock Oolong — Sweet, Smooth & Universally Loved
The Rougui Everyone Falls For — Mi Tuo Yan Zheng Yan
Grown within the authentic scenic core zone of Wuyishan — a true zheng yan (正岩) origin — Mi Tuo Yan Rougui is the rare rock oolong that wins over every kind of tea drinker. Bold enough for the connoisseur, approachable enough for the newcomer, and sweet enough to keep everyone coming back. This is Rougui with universal appeal and uncompromising quality.
Three Layers of Fragrance
Top Note — Lid Aroma: The lid opens to a bright, clean cinnamon-bark spice — sharp and pure, never rough. Simultaneously, ripe honey peach and a delicate gardenia blossom sweetness burst forward together, creating an opening aroma that is both powerful and inviting.
Mid Note — Fragrance in the Liquor: The fruit and cinnamon aromas sink completely into the body of the tea — not floating on the surface, but fully integrated. As the session progresses, a soft, gentle creaminess gradually emerges in the mid-palate, adding a warmth and roundness that makes the liquor feel exceptionally smooth and complete.
Base Note — Cold Cup: Set the gaiwan aside. A lasting honey-peach sweetness remains on the lid — clean, stable, and completely free of any roast or off-notes. The medium charcoal roasting has locked the fragrance in beautifully, and it shows.
Sweet, Smooth & Deeply Satisfying
The liquor is a pleasure from first sip to last: smooth on entry, sweet throughout, with a comfortable and natural sweetness that rises back through the throat. The aftertaste is long and clean, and the fragrance lingers in the mouth well after the cup is empty. No bitterness. No harshness. Just pure, effortless enjoyment.

Product Description
Product Description
Mi Tuo Yan Rougui is a zheng yan (正岩) Wuyi Rock Oolong from the Mi Tuo Yan site within the authentic scenic core zone of Wuyishan — one of the most revered origins in all of Chinese tea. The mineral-rich rock terrain and pristine mountain environment produce a Rougui of genuine depth and character, while the medium charcoal roasting brings everything into perfect balance.
The lid aroma opens with a bright, clean cinnamon-bark spice — sharp and pure — joined simultaneously by ripe honey peach and a delicate gardenia sweetness that make the opening fragrance both powerful and welcoming. In the liquor, the fruit and cinnamon aromas sink fully into the body of the tea, and a soft creaminess gradually emerges in the mid-palate, adding warmth and roundness to an already smooth and satisfying cup.
The liquor is sweet, smooth, and effortlessly drinkable — with a natural sweetness that rises back through the throat and a mouth fragrance that lingers long after each sip. In the cold cup, a stable honey-peach sweetness remains, clean and pure, with no roast or off-notes: the quiet signature of medium charcoal roasting done right.
Approachable for those new to rock oolong. Deeply satisfying for those who have been drinking Yancha for decades. Mi Tuo Yan Rougui is the tea you share with everyone — because it wins everyone over.

Brewing Guidance
Vessel: Gaiwan or small Yixing teapot (recommended)
Water Temperature: 100°C (212°F) — fully boiling water to fully activate the cinnamon and fruit aromas
Leaf Amount: 8.3g per 100–150ml
Steeping Guide:
• Infusions 1–3: Pour and drain immediately — flash-brew to capture the bright cinnamon and honey peach lid aroma at its freshest. Do not steep or stew.
• Infusions 4 and beyond: Gradually increase steeping time by 5–10 seconds with each steep. Watch for the soft creaminess that emerges in the mid-session steeps.
⚠️ Important: Never cover and steep (no stewing). Mi Tuo Yan Rougui’s layered sweetness and fragrance are best preserved with short, controlled infusions.
Number of Infusions: 8–10 infusions
Tips:
• Use fully boiling water to unlock the full cinnamon-fruit aroma
• After each session, smell the cold gaiwan lid — the stable honey-peach cold cup aroma is one of this tea’s most distinctive pleasures
