Taihu Stone Tang Yu Zisha Teapot | Raw Ore Purple Clay | 160ml Handcrafted Gongfu Tea Pot
Taihu Stone Tang Yu Zisha Teapot | Raw Ore Purple Clay | 160ml Handcrafted Gongfu Tea Pot
Sculpted by hand. Inspired by stone and sky.
The Tang Yu (唐羽) form is one of the most poetic silhouettes in the Yixing teapot tradition — its wide, low body and graceful spout evoking the weathered elegance of Taihu Stone (太湖石), the ancient scholar's rock prized for its organic, perforated beauty. This piece is hand-thrown from raw ore Zi Ni (紫泥), the most celebrated of all Yixing clays, and finished with a 9-hole filter spout for a clean, smooth pour every time.
Presented in a silk-lined gift box with a complimentary Taihu Stone teapot rope, this is a teapot worthy of gifting — and of keeping.

About Raw Ore Zi Ni
Zi Ni (紫泥) — purple clay — is the most storied material in Chinese tea culture. Mined from the hills of Yixing, Jiangsu, raw ore Zi Ni is unblended and unprocessed, retaining its full mineral complexity. The result is a clay that:
- Breathes with your tea — natural micro-porosity absorbs tea oils over time, building a unique seasoned patina
- Retains heat beautifully — keeps your brew at the ideal temperature longer than porcelain or glass
- Enhances flavor — dedicated use with one tea type deepens and refines every steep
- Ages with grace — develops a warm, lustrous surface the more it is used
The Tang Yu Form
Low, wide, and grounded, the Tang Yu silhouette maximizes the surface area of water in contact with tea leaves, making it particularly well-suited for oolongs, dancong, and aged pu-erh. The wide lid opening allows easy filling and cleaning, while the 9-hole filter ensures a leaf-free pour.

Care Instructions

- Dedicate to one type of tea for best flavor development
