Yanzhonghe · Lv Ye Xian Zong — Wuyuan Jian Old Tree Rougui Gift Box, 16.6g
Lv Ye Xian Zong · Old Tree Rougui from Wuyuan Jian
Yanzhonghe's Lv Ye Xian Zong (绿野仙踪) is a small-format tasting gift featuring Rougui from 42-year-old tea trees in Wuyuan Jian (悟源涧), within Wuyi's core Zhengyan area. This scarce old-tree selection offers a composed expression of the growing site, placing depth, texture and enduring rock character ahead of sharp spice.
Quiet Fragrance, Substantial Depth
Rich cinnamon-like fragrance is woven with delicate floral and sweet fruit notes. The aroma is restrained rather than showy, expressive without a piercing edge.
Clear orange-red liquor feels thick, dense and mellow on the palate. Pronounced mineral character gives the cup a deep, powerful backbone, while the softer spicy edge allows its rounded richness to stand out. A lasting sweet return and long aromatic finish reward slow, attentive tasting.
Two Sessions, Thoughtfully Presented
A black outer box contrasts with a green inner box, with cut-out mountain forms and relief detailing echoing the tea's landscape. An original carry bag completes this distinctive compact gift.
Each box contains 2 individually wrapped sachets of 8.3g each, totaling 16.6g net weight. Ideal for exploring the character of old-tree Rougui over two Gongfu sessions, it also makes a refined thank-you gift or a thoughtful exchange between experienced tea friends.

Brewing Guidance
Suggested Gongfu brewing starting point:
Teaware: A gaiwan is recommended.
Leaf: One 8.3g sachet in a 100–120ml gaiwan; adjust to taste.
Water: 95–100°C. Use hotter water to explore the tea's fuller texture and mineral depth.
Warm the teaware before adding the leaves.
Decant the first two infusions quickly and completely, starting around 5–10 seconds and adjusting to taste.
Gradually extend later infusions according to flavor, exploring the cinnamon-like fragrance, floral-fruit notes and dense old-tree character.
Each sachet is intended for one Gongfu session with repeated infusions.
Storage: Keep sachets tightly sealed in a dry, odor-free environment away from light, moisture and heat. Open only when ready to brew and use promptly.
