Yanzhonghe · Xian Ya — Jiulongke Rougui Bud Tips Gift Box, 15g (3 × 5g)
Xian Ya · One Tea, Many Expressions
Yanzhonghe's Xian Ya (仙芽) is an experimental Wuyi rock tea made from scarce Rougui bud tips from Jiulongke (九龙窠), within Wuyi's core Zhengyan growing area. Crafted using the special Wang Wei Wang (王威王) process, it reveals striking changes in aroma and flavor over successive infusions.
Honeyed Beginnings, Unexpected Turns
The dry tea offers a rich sweetness reminiscent of Jin Jun Mei. Once brewed, fine tea hairs are apparent, accompanied by a pronounced tender-bud fragrance, honeyed depth and layers of sweet flowers and fruit.
A distinct cooling sensation meets the palate. The liquor seems light at first, yet reveals a mellow, full body. Early infusions evoke the soft, honey-sweet character of Jin Jun Mei; later, creamy notes emerge on the gaiwan lid before giving way to a fresh, vigorous, wild mountain character reminiscent of raw pu-erh.
These are tasting comparisons, not a blend of black tea or pu-erh. Xian Ya's appeal lies in following the changing expression of its Jiulongke Rougui bud-tip material, one infusion at a time.

Brewing Guidance
Brewing Guidance
Suggested Gongfu brewing approach:
Teaware: A gaiwan is recommended.
Water: 95–100°C; begin around 95°C and adjust to taste.
Leaf: One 5g sachet per session, using approximately 80–100ml water as a starting point; adjust to taste.
Warm the teaware before adding the tea.
Keep the first few infusions brief and decant completely, following the honeyed sweetness, tender-bud fragrance and cooling sensation.
Gradually extend middle and later infusions as needed. Smell the gaiwan lid to follow the creamy notes and taste for the transition toward fresh wild mountain character.
Reinfuse the same leaves throughout the session to explore the changing flavor profile.
Storage: Keep tightly sealed in a dry, odor-free environment away from light, moisture and heat. Open sachets only when ready to brew and use promptly.
