Yanzhonghe · YANLAIXI | ZhengYan Cinnamon (YanziKe) — 102g Gift Box

Yanzhonghe · YANLAIXI | ZhengYan Cinnamon (YanziKe) — 102g Gift Box

YANLAIXI · YanziKe Zhengyan Rougui

Part of Yanzhonghe's Lion King Family Tea series, YANLAIXI (燕来兮) takes its poetic name from a verse by Du Fu and celebrates the YanziKe growing site in Wuyi's core Zhengyan tea area. Grown in the rocky soils of YanziKe's ecological tea gardens, this Rougui offers a vivid expression of its mountain terroir.

Traditional Charcoal Roasting, Layered Fragrance

Traditional Wuyi rock tea charcoal roasting, carried out slowly over gentle heat, shapes tightly rolled, dark, lustrous leaves. Hot water releases a rich cinnamon-like fragrance interwoven with delicate floral and fruit notes.

The clear orange-gold liquor is full and substantial, yet flows smoothly across the palate. Floral lift meets a firm mineral backbone, expressing the classic yan gu hua xiang, or “rock backbone and floral fragrance.” A lingering sweet return and mouthwatering finish lead into a long-lasting sensation in the throat, while the aroma remains steady through successive infusions.

Product Description

YANLAIXI (燕来兮), from Yanzhonghe's Lion King Family Tea series, draws its poetic name from Du Fu and its mountain character from YanziKe, a named growing site within Wuyi's core Zhengyan area. Rocky soils and an ecological tea garden setting underpin its vivid sense of place.

Traditional slow charcoal roasting shapes tightly rolled, dark, lustrous leaves. The aromatic profile centers on rich cinnamon-like fragrance, interwoven with delicate floral and fruit notes. Clear orange-gold liquor feels full and substantial while remaining smooth, balancing a firm mineral backbone with floral lift.

The sweet return and mouthwatering finish linger, accompanied by long throat resonance. The aroma holds steadily across successive infusions, making this a rewarding tea for focused Gongfu tasting.

The deep-green embossed gift box with gold-foil detailing contains 12 individually wrapped sachets of 8.5g each, totaling 102g. Supplied factory-sealed with intact shrink wrap and a matching original carry bag, it suits daily connoisseur tasting, business hospitality and seasonal gifting.

Brewing Guidance

Suggested Gongfu brewing starting point:
Leaf: One 8.5g sachet for a 100–120ml gaiwan or small teapot; adjust to taste.
Water: 95–100°C, using freshly boiled water toward the upper end for a fuller expression.
Warm the teaware, add the leaves and enjoy the aroma from the warmed vessel.
Begin with a quick infusion of approximately 5–10 seconds and decant completely. Keep early infusions short, then gradually extend later infusions as the leaves open.
Reinfuse repeatedly to explore the cinnamon-like fragrance, floral-fruit layers, smooth body and mineral rock character.
For a gentler cup, use less leaf or a larger vessel.
Storage: Keep unopened sachets in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, moisture and strong odors. Open one sachet at a time and use promptly.
