Brewing Guidance

**Recommended Teas:** Ripe Pu-erh, aged white tea, black tea

**Preparation:**
1. Rinse the teapot with hot water before first use
2. Preheat the pot by filling with boiling water, then discard

**Brewing Steps:**
1. Add 5-6g of tea leaves (adjust to taste)
2. Water temperature by tea type:
- Ripe Pu-erh: 95-100°C (203-212°F)
- Aged white tea: 90-95°C (194-203°F)
- Black tea: 90-95°C (194-203°F)
3. First infusion: 10-15 seconds (rinse for Pu-erh), discard
4. Second infusion: 20-30 seconds
5. Subsequent infusions: Add 10-15 seconds each time
6. Can yield 6-8 infusions depending on tea quality

**Care Instructions:**
• Rinse with hot water only - never use soap or detergent
• Air dry completely after each use with lid off
• Dedicate to one tea type for optimal flavor development
• The high-fired Duan Ni clay is more durable and resistant to staining
• The clay will develop a subtle, warm patina over time - this is desirable
• Store in a well-ventilated area when not in use
